The speech signal digital word transmission between a base station and mobile phone has acoustic speech translated into electrical signals. A first transmission protocol is followed, together with silence and second protocols. Electrical signals and digital words are transmitted together on the same channel following a third GPRS protocol during time windows left available by the second protocol.
