Expanding intersomatic cage for insertion between adjacent vertebrae to correct lumbar lordosis angle comprises hollow tube with ribs along it which are expanded by pin inserted into it and left in place to act as scaffold for bone growth
The expanding intersomatic cage for insertion between adjacent vertebrae to correct the lumbar lordosis angle comprises a hollow tube (100) with apertures (112) in its walls to allow bone to migrate through. This has ribs (110) along it which unite to form an end wall (102). A pin (400) is inserted into the tube to expand the ribs and is left in place to act as a scaffold for bone growth.
