Fuel injection system control for automotive engine having common rail fuel injection system, includes pressure amplifier continuously fed by high pressure to give short response times and good injection efficiency
The fuel injector includes a pressure amplifier (9) and two control distributors (18,37), with one of the distributors freeing or blocking feed of the nozzle (28) towards the injector needle chamber (29). The control chambers (11,13) of the pressure amplifiers (9) along with the pressure chamber (16) receives the high pressure by a high-pressure feed conduit (4). The control chamber of the amplifier is switched by one of the control distributors when a high pressure is applied continuously to feed the nozzle (20,28).
