The unit has a support (1) on top of which is a winch (5) on a support (2) hinged on an axis (3) and whose other side rests on dampers (4). The winch includes an electric motor and reducing gear which can be directly started or speed varied. The unit presents to the students two modes of starting, direct and electronic speed variation and shows, using the sensors and dampers, the distance necessary to stop a moving load or sudden load and the flexibility of use of one or other of the lifting modes and the required operating energy; the management of the lifting by a robot and industrial computer (displacement distance, speed of displacement, acceleration/deceleration; electrical and mechanical measurements inherent for use of on or other operating mode.
