Device for executing a cryptographic algorithm comprises calculation means, means for memorizing data and data communication means. Memory contains deterministic values (r, N), a predetermined function (f(x)) and an algorithm for use by a processor to determine mod values based on the values or r, N and f(x) and thus determine if a cryptographic algorithm has been correctly calculated. An Independent claim is made for a method for executing cryptographic algorithms for use with electronic device security.
