Regulating the voltage of a decentralized electrical energy production system (1) connected to a distribution network (2). Regulation is done using measured voltage signal (Vmes) at point of connection of the production and distribution systems. From the measured voltage, active (Pcons) and reactive (Qcons) power level signals are determined or the power factor (PFcons) for the production system. An Independent Claim is also included for: active power control with constant reactive power. To establish voltage measuring signal(s). the direct or effective voltage value between phases or phase and neutral or phase and earth of three or single phase systems is used. Regulation of the reactive power to the constant power is done as follows: (a) if the network voltage remains between predetermined limits (Vl-min,Vlmax), the reactive power is maintained constant and equal to the value by default defined by the power factor; if the network voltage is outside the limits the reactive power is increased (if the voltage is less than Vlmin) or is decreased (if the voltage is greater than Vlmax) until the voltage returns within the predetermined limits, if the network voltage is in one of two dead bands (Vlmax, VLmaxP) with P - Pref and (VlminP, Vlmin) with P = Pref, the reactive power is maintained at the value reached at the time of the preceding step.
