PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent mixing of liquid and vapor.;SOLUTION: A combined liquid/vapor distributor 20 is an apparatus for distributing liquid and vapor to or from a filler in an exchange column. The apparatus includes a distributor 22 and a deck 24 adjacent to the distributor above the distributor. The distributor has vertical walls separated almost parallel, an open crest part, and at least one vapor ascending pipe 36 having an open bottom part opposed to the open crest part. The distributor further has at least one liquid gutter 28 adjacent to a vapor ascending pipe. The liquid gutter has a bed having the open crest part and at least one opening. The bed is opposed to the open crest part of the liquid gutter, and attached to at least one wall of the adjoining vapor ascending pipe. The deck has at least one opening arranged vertically to the open crest part of the vapour ascending pipe, and at least one opening disposed vertically to the open crest part of the liquid gutter.
