PURPOSE: To provide the welding position of a torch part to a joint part, and a mechanism possible to set by successively changing over the horizontal direction and the vertical direction positions to the axial center of the joint part of the torch part in an automatic welding equipment for a reinforcing bar, performing joint welding with multi-layer welding. ;CONSTITUTION: The contact tip 56a of a torch part in a welding head, is detached from the welding head, and both parts are connected by a conduit cable 61. A changing-over setting mechanism 60 consisting of the welding position of a contact tip 56a to a joint part, and a cam mechanism changing over in multistage and setting the horizontal direction position and the vertical direction position to the joint part, is installed on a turning bench 53. The contact tip detached from the welding head, is assembled in the cam mechanism, and this cam mechanism is operated. Consequently, the mechanism is constituted so that the welding position of the contact tip to the joint part, and the horizontal direction and the vertical direction positions are successively changed over and set according to each build-up process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
