PURPOSE: To obtain an ink composition for heat-sensitive ink-transfer recording excellent in solubility, durability or the like by a method wherein a magenta-chrome pigment for heat-sensitive ink-transfer recording represented by a specified general formula, a binder resin, an organic solvent and/or water are mixed together. ;CONSTITUTION: An ink composition for heat-sensitive ink-transfer recording is prepared by mixing a magenta-chrome pigment represented by the formula, in which R¹ represents a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group, a 1-6C alkoxy group or a halogen atom, R² and R³ represent hydrogen atoms, 1-4C alkyl groups, 1-6C alkoxy groups, 2-5C alkyl carbonyl amino groups or the like, R⁴ and R⁵ represent hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups, 3-6C arachenyl groups, 7-10C aralkyl groups or the like, a binder resin, an organic solvent and/or water together. Onto one side of the base material sheet, a pigment carrying layer containing the ink composition for heat-sensitive ink-transfer recording is laminated so as to form a transfer sheet. By heating and pressurizing the transfer sheet, which is laminated to material to be recorded, from its back with a heat-sensitive recording head, the pigment can be transferred onto the material to be recorded.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
