PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas instrument determining device which easily discrimines a gas instrument in use from detected gas flow rate.;SOLUTION: This gas instrument determining device has a flow rate pattern table for classifying partial flow rate patterns dividing a series of gas flow rate patterns generated according to a combustion control for a plurality of gas instruments for every control step, a new instrument table making the plurality of gas instruments correspond to the combinations of the corresponding the partial flow rate patterns, a new instrument decision means for deciding the new instrument from a gas flow rate pattern detected by a gas flow meter, and a registered instrument determine means for extracting the gas instrument matched with the gas flow rate pattern from the registered instrument table. The registered instrument table customized for every customer is prepared. Since the gas instrument determination is performed based on the registered instrument table, a highly accurate decision becomes possible.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
