PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a myelin development inhibitory non-human animal model on the basis of the elucidation result of the myelin formation of an oligodendroglia in the central nervous system (CNS), and provide a method of screening the myelin development-controlling substance and the therapeutic agent for demyelinating disease by using the animal model.;SOLUTION: The γ-subunit of the immunoglobulin Fc acceptor (FcRγ), Fyn thyroxinase (Fyn) and, myelin basic protein (MBP) have been found to act as myelin formation signal molecules and a myelin development inhibitory non-human animal model deficient in the signal molecules is created on the basis of these findings and the process has been established for screening the myelin development-controlling substance and the therapeutic agent for demyelinating disease by using the animal model.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
