PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the evaluated property closer to vibration damping property of material under an actual condition of use by performing vibration damping property evaluation under application of a static load to work out vibration damping behavior, to improve accuracy of vibration damping property evaluation, to provide basic data of practical vibration damping materials and to contribute to product designing for vibration damping alloys for practical use.;SOLUTION: A load is normally applied by a static load loading means 6 to vibration damping alloy material 4 supported by a frame of the device for evaluating vibration damping property or a loading frame 1 consisting as a whole of an independent vibration system supported on a vibration isolation rubber 2. Vibration is introduced to the frame 1 by a hammering means and the vibration transmitted and damped in the vibration damping alloy material 4 is detected by a vibration detection acceleration sensor and then the detected data is analyzed and the vibration damping property is measured and evaluated under application of the static load.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
