PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in the oil quantity control of a conventional high pressure shell type compressor that an oil return quantity is excessive because of the control for returning oil through an oil return circuit so that the oil return quantity is sufficient on the basis of an operation state for maximizing an oil discharge quantity, and the oil quantity brought out for a refrigerating cycle is increased to deteriorate the operation efficiency or the performance of a heat exchanger.;SOLUTION: A compressor oil quantity calculating means calculates the oil quantity of a high-pressure shell type compressor from the oil discharge quantity from the compressor calculated by a compressor oil discharge quantity calculating means, an oil inflow quantity to the compressor calculated by a compressor oil inflow quantity calculating means, and the initial oil quantity of the compressor, or the compressor oil quantity calculated last by the compressor oil quantity calculating means, and a compressor oil inflow quantity control means compares the compressor oil quantity with an optimum oil quantity for the compressor and controls the oil inflow quantity to the compressor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
