PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality of picture image hardly generating positive ghost and to stably provide an electrophotographic sensitive body with outstandingly high photosensitivity for rays in a long wavelength range.;SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a gallium phthalocyanine comprises a step for preparing a mixed solution of a phthalocyanine precursor with a water content of 0.006 mass % or less and an organic solvent and a reaction step by adding a gallium compound into the mixed solution with water content of 0.006 mass % or less prepared at the previous preparation step to react them. The gallium phthalocyanine produced by the method, an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing the gallium phthalocyanine, a process cartridge and an electrophotographic device with the electrophotographic photoreceptor are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
