METHOD FOR KILLING PHYTOPLANKTON CARRIED BY SHELLFISH AND METHOD FOR PREVENTING DIFFUSE OF PHYTOPLANKTON

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for completely killing a harmful phytoplankton which exists in the interior of a shellfish belonging to the genus Bivalvia or is attached to a seashell of the shellfish. SOLUTION: This method for killing the harmful phytoplankton carried by shellfishes comprises a step for immersing a shellfish belonging to the genus Bivalvia grown in water area containing the phytoplankton carried by shellfishes, particularly Heterocapsa circularisquama into warm seawater or warm diluted seawater. In the method, the shellfish belonging to the genus Bivalvia is immersed into the warm seawater or warm diluted seawater under enough temperature and time conditions to kill the phytoplankton carried by the shellfish.
