PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a below-staircase storage structure which is installed in such a manner that an article can be taken in and out in a living room, and which has consideration for preventing damage to the suitability of the adjacent living room for a reception space.;SOLUTION: This structure comprises: a storage part which serves as a space located directly below an upper half-side staircase of a U-shaped staircase and can house the article; an opening which serves as a surface parallel to the upper half-side staircase of the U-shaped staircase, faces the living room, and allows the article to be taken in and out inside the living room; and a partition which is provided in the opening so as to divide the storage part from the living room, and serves as a sliding wall.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
