PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composite function parts including a rare earth element added fiber in order to simplify the optical circuit part of an optical fiber amplifier.;SOLUTION: In fiber type composite function parts in which each adjacent optical fibers out of three or more optical fibers arranged in parallel are welded and stretched to form a coupling part and individual coupling parts are mounted and fixed, at least one of optical fibers forming each coupling part is constituted of a rare earth element added fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
