PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titania clinker in which the defects in oxygen of titania in a high temperature atmosphere are effectively suppressed, and which has excellent stability in heating, to provide an alumina-titania clinker in which stability in heating of aluminum titanate is improved while suppressing its thermal expansion, and to provide refractories obtained by using them.;SOLUTION: A composition giving a chemical composition consisting of, by weight, 80 to 99.8% titania and 0.2 to 20% cobalt oxide is burned, or a composition giving a chemical composition consisting of 44.8 to 65% alumina, 34.8 to 55% titania and 0.2 to 20.0% cobalt oxide is burned, and the clinker is obtained.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
