The device (1) for grilling meat on small sticks or skewers, particularly satay (14) (Malaysian and Indonesian spiced meat) or shaslik (Russian kebab) has a support component with a series of skewer holders, drive devices for the support component and a grill unit (3,3'). The support component holds the skewers in an upright position. The drive devices drive the support component with the skewer holders along a horizontal circulating path (A), along at least a part of which the grill unit constituents are positioned. Catchment devices are provided for collection of dripped fat. The support component forms a rotatable whole with the catchment device. It is a horizontal, rotary plate (2), preferably round and preferably along its edge provided with the skewer holders. It is also removable. A temperature switch (12) and two control lamps (11,13) are incorporated.
