A selected pixel is added to pixel region which is grouped in pairs, such that the pixels in each pair are symmetrically located with respect to the selected pixel. The grouped pairs are added to the region until average of pixel values do not exceed tolerance dispersion of noise. The pixel values are averaged for the selected pixel used in reconstruction of image. An Independent claim is also included for computer program product for noise reduction in digital image.
