The invention relates to the regulatory sequence (promoter) which is used for the specific expression in fruit of a DNA sequence that codes for a product of interest, for example, a peptide, a polypeptide, a protein, an activity or an RNA of interest. The aforementioned sequence can be used in DNA constructions containing said sequence operationally bonded to a DNA sequence that codes for a product of interest. Said constructions can be used in the construction of transgenic plants.
