MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING APPARATUS USING 3-DIMENSIONAL MAGNETIC TAG IMAGE PICKUP METHOD

A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus capable of performing tagging in the 3-dimensional region in order to visualize a 3-dimensional motion or quantitatively handle the motion. This apparatus has a control unit (11) for controlling inclined magnetic field power sources (7 to 9) of respective axes so that magnetization by the inclined magnetic field generated by an inclined magnetic field coil (2) draws a 3-dimensional trace in the space k. By adjusting the intensity, interval, and application time of the inclined magnetic field pulse, tagging is performed in a predetermined 3-dimensional region of an examinee. Thus, it is possible to provide an MRI apparatus capable of flexibly observing the motion of an organ and flow of blood.
