PURPOSE: A method of optimizing design parameters of a data storing system and a method of applying optimized design parameters are provided to remarkably increase a quality security period of the data storing system and the frequency of using the system. CONSTITUTION: The first design parameter values for optimizing a data storing system in a general burn-in test condition are determined and stored(306). A progressive failure generation condition that is predicted in the data storing system is generated(307). The third design parameter values for optimizing the data storing system in the predicted progressive failure generation condition are set and stored(311). The average value of the first and third design parameter values is calculated and stored as the second design parameter value(312).
