PURPOSE: A method of cooling and freezing dog sperms using Tris based buffer and an egg yolk as a composition for freezing dog sperm is provided, thereby increasing mobility and viability of a sperm and the intactness of its acrosome while minimizing sperm loss which is likely to occur in a freezing process. CONSTITUTION: Sperms are collected from a male dog and diluted in a freezing composition comprising 75 to 85% by volume of Tris based buffer and 15 to 25% by volume of an egg yolk. The diluted sperms having a concentration of about 1.6x10¬8/ml are infused into a first tube. Thereafter, the first tube is introduced into a second tube filled with water of she'd, and the second tube is stored in an ice box at deg.C for about 2hr.
