PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing an exfoliated phenol resin-layered silicate nanocomposite having a terminal bonding structure and the exfoliated phenol resin-layered silicate nanocomposite therefrom. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing an exfoliated phenol resin-layered silicate nanocomposite comprises the steps of reacting an organic compound being capable of reacting a phenol resin and having a cation with a layered silicate to obtain a modified layered silicate; kneading the modified layered silicate and the phenol resin, followed by thermal treatment to obtain an uncured phenol resin-layered silicate nanocomposite; and adding a curing agent to the uncured phenol resin-layered silicate nanocomposite to obtain an exfoliated phenol resin-layered silicate nanocomposite having a terminal bonding structure.
