摘要

PURPOSE: A PTC(Positive Temperature Coefficient) device for protecting a lithium ion battery and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase resistance when temperature surrounding a resistor rises by mixing polymer substances, forming the PTC device with a sheet shape, connecting copper films to both sides of the PTC device, and coupling lead wires to the sides. CONSTITUTION: A polymer resin is made of a low melting resin of 50 to 80wt%, a middle melting resin of 10 to 30wt%, and a high melting resin of 10 to 30wt%. A PTC composite resin is mixed by adding a carbon black of 80 to 110wt% and a crosslink agent of 0.1 to 1wt%(S100) to the polymer resin of 100 weight. The PTC composite resin is pressed to be formed in a sheet shape by an extruder(S200). A copper film is laminated on both surfaces of the sheet-type PTC composite resin and the laminated PTC composite resin is pressed by a press to form a body(S300). A nickel lead is attached on both sides of the body through a solder cream(S400).
