PURPOSE: Provided are isolation and characterization of a clay-dispersing polysaccharide produced by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, thereby preventing environment contamination. CONSTITUTION: A clay-dispersing polysaccharide is isolated by culturing Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, extracting the culture thereof with an organic solvent; and concentrating and purifying the extract thereof.
