PURPOSE: A method for producing a polypropylene synthetic fiber and a synthetic fiber using the same are provided to prevent the generation of a toxic gas in combustion by using a grey yarn obtained by mixing polypropylene and phosphor-based fire retardant. CONSTITUTION: In the method for a synthetic fiber which contains polypropylene, phosphor-based compound and a black pigment and comprises warp threads and weft threads, the warp threads are twisted at 350 Tm by a composite twister, and the weft threads is heated at a temperature of below 120 degree C and given a 90-110 ea/m interace. Also, the synthetic fiber is woven to a plain texture and subjected to a tenter process.
