PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing green tea from green rice which is very useful in improving skin condition and physiological functions for example, strengthening immune system and preventing aging, by applying good flavor and abundant nutrients of green rice to green tea. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing green tea comprises the following steps of: i) washing and soaking green rice in the water of 10-12 deg.C for 5-6 hours then drying; ii) steaming the resultant green rice for 60-70 minutes for gelatinization; iii) drying the resultant green rice again for 240-250 minutes; iv) frying the resultant green rice at 180-220 deg.C for 10-15 minutes; v) frying again the fried green rice at 80-100 deg.C; vi) mixing the fried rice with steamed green tea leaves in a certain mixing ratio; vii) optionally adding a certain amount of the powder of Job's tears to the mixture; and viii) drying and grinding the mixture.
