PURPOSE: A system for monitoring a horizontality and a verticality of an object related to optical fiber drawing is provided to manufacture an optical fiber with a high quality by preventing a short of optical fiber in advance and by accurately monitoring the horizontality and the verticality of an optical drawing tower or drawing equipments. CONSTITUTION: In a system for monitoring a horizontality and a verticality of an object(30), an optical drawing process providing with drawing equipments of an optical fiber drawing tower includes steps of: an object(30) related to the optical drawing process, an identifying tag(31) attached to the object(30) and a monitoring sensor(32) for monitoring the horizontality and the verticality of the object(30) and supplying the monitored signal to a controller(33). The identifying tag(31) is provided with divided regions divided by in a circumferential direction with respect to a center thereof and identifies a different status in response to the divided regions, respectively. The controller(33) is placed in such a way that the monitoring sensor(32) monitors the center of the identifying tag(31). Therefore, the system is capable of grasping the situation of the horizontality and the verticality of the object in response to a predetermined identifying table set in the controller(33).
