PURPOSE: Provided is a process for manufacturing a magnesium alloy for die casting having excellent corrosion resistance, where only aging operation without performing solid solution treatment is done to form a dual phase acting as an inhibitor against pitting corrosion in matrix. CONSTITUTION: In the process for manufacturing a magnesium alloy for die casting where a dual phase having higher electric potential than -solid solution is formed in matrix by heat treatment, the method is characterized in that it is aged in the temperature range 100 to 350deg.C.
