PURPOSE: A method for the multi-discipline integrating optimal designing by using the interdisciplinary design variable processing and the optimal sensitivity information is provided to maintain the advantage of the actual design environment and to include the characteristics of all the disciplines considered for the article designing. CONSTITUTION: The subsystem optimization performing units(20,30,40) are specific design optimization units for minimizing a target function. If the optimal design answer of a design parameter is calculated, the existing design optimization unit is used directly. The subsystem control units(21,31,41) drive the subsystem optimization performing units(20,30,40) by receiving the necessary information from an upper system(10) and calculate the optimal sensitivity of the design parameter based on the optimal design answer. The subsystem optimization performing units(20,30,40) calculate the optimal answer and return the value to the subsystem control units(21,31,41).
