FIELD: molecular genetics and biology. Activity of gene-reporter is determined by measurement of selected phenotype that depends on activity of reporter. Observation of alternation in measuring phenotype of modified cell of the host is carried out being in this cell gene-reporter is effectively associated with yeast protein of transcription activation in addition of testing sample to the host cell. Activity of gene-reporter is determined by measurement of selected phenotype that depends on activity of reporter. The host cell can display alternation in phenotype in the presence of testing sample only that binds only with a single peptide of pair of peptide binding. The level of activity of gene-reporter of the modified host cell is determined in addition of testing sample to mentioned cell under conditions suitable for detection of mentioned activity. Invention allows the discovering compounds that can interact as ligands for specific receptors or tranductors.
