Drug (I) with a dual mechanism of action comprises a smooth-muscle dilator with a hydroxyaminosulfonyl substituent serving as a nitric oxide (NO) donor. An Independent claim is also included for production of (I) by reacting a smooth-muscle dilator with chlorosulfonic acid and reacting the product with hydroxylamine.
