Active stabilizer for motor vehicles has two stabilizer part, one with smaller spring ratio than min. required for part subjected to same load, and extended active stabilizer length
The device has a first and a second stabilizer part (1,2), each associated with a wheel, and coupled via an actuator (3). At least one of the parts is formed, so that its spring ratio is smaller than a min. required spring ratio for a stabilizer part subjected to the same load, which extends directly from a connection (4,5) associated with an actuator, to a connection (6,7) associated with a wheel. The active stabilizer length is extended by each stabilizer part extending past the actuator, and being fastened to the connection furthest away from the connection associated with the wheel. At least one stabilizer part is connected via a spring to a chassis and/or actuator and/or wheel connection.
