The device measures the head friction torque with preferably three transverse force transducers (1a-1c) between the bolt head and the nut and the applied tightening torque with preferably three further transverse force transducers (2a-2c) arranged radially between the holder for the nut and an outer fixing ring (3). The thread friction torque is given by the difference between the tightening and head torques.
