A robot device (RD) (1) has a multi-part operating arm (2) structured like a human arm with an upper arm (3), a lower arm (4) and a hand (5). The operating arm is supported by an arm support (6) that is itself supported by a scissor-type rod lifting assembly (SRLA) (7) against a scissor-type table (8), on which the SRLA moves on independent slides (9,10) so that the operation of the slides alters the lifting height and the position of the RD lengthwise on the table.
