The helicopter landing skid has parallel longitudinal skids on both sides of the longitudinal axis through the helicopter, with mountings to hold them in place. The mounting holds the skid at the base plate (1) of the aircraft cell structure, with a link to the helicopter dynamic system (5). The skid is divided into separate part-sections (3,4,6,7), independent of each other, where one leg (31,41,61,71) is linked to the cell structure base plate with damping and vibration compensation.
