A film (8) forming a visible face of the panel is placed in a tool cavity followed by a fiber reinforcement layer (6). A matrix material is then sprayed on and a honeycomb core (2) placed on top of this layer. A further fiber reinforcement layer is laid on the honeycomb and a further amount of matrix material sprayed on. The complete assembly is then cured under pressure at elevated temperature. An Independent claim is made for a lining panel forming a cover plate of a vehicle produced by the process.
