The method involves an insulated heat storage device (G1) heated or cooled by ambient air and enclosed by a Peltier or Seebeck element (S1) through which the heat flows into or away from the heat storage device and thereby produces electrical energy. A contact surface on the Peltier or Seebeck element enables the heat storage device to be heated by the heat of a hand. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a system for implementing the inventive method.
