Magnetic resonance instrument has an arrangement for supporting a user in the selection of an optimum set of measurement parameters. Arrangement comprises a user interface (21) with a selection window that enables a user to select a sequence of nuclear spin excitations to excite in an object layer and a processing unit (18, 20) with storage in which measurement parameters constraints are implemented as a series on non-linear inequalities. The invention also relates to a corresponding method.
