Reel carrier (1) is attached to a fence stake (2). The wire carries current and is made of metal or plastics with wire threads, or a textile band with metal threads. The wire can have a sprung reel with a guide eye, between which is a connection to a power source. The reel carrier is electrically isolated from the housing. The wire can be protected from soiling.
