A method for providing an alarm by means of a digital RF network or a digital-alarm or transmission network, in which digital radio call receivers or digital alarm receivers are provided at the resources and which for making an alarm at the RF call receiver or alarm receiver, individual messages (RIC1-7) or messages for providing alarm at individually selected resources, are sent. During transmission a special alarm transmission results, such that the respective RF-call receiver or alarm receiver is addressed on individually provided and generally provided non-individual addresses, and the reception of the non-individual message (20) in the RF-call receiver or in the digital alarm receiver does not trigger an alarm, and this message is assigned to the individually received message (RIC1-7) or messages incase such messages have been sent to the respective RF-call receiver or alarm receiver.
