The scissor-type lift has at least two scissor assemblies (S1,S2) located one behind the other and operated by fluid cylinders. All the cylinders are formed by pairs of a main cylinder and secondary cylinder connected to it. One main cylinder (HZ1) of the outer lying assembly at one end in the longitudinal direction is connected to a secondary cylinder (SZ1) on the scissor assembly on the other outer end of the lift. With a scissor lift with two running tracks (Fl,Fr) a main cylinder located at the outer end of one track is connected to a secondary cylinder at the other outer end.
