The carriage has a fixed shaft (1) with a plug-in connection (7) for a frame (8) with a pair of shafts for one pony. This frame may be replaced by a shaft with swingletrees adapted for two ponies side-by-side. There is a horizontal footrest (2) on the shaft and a triangular or trapezoidal footplate approximately level with the axle (13) for the two wheels (12). The seat (4) is square with rounded corners and is set on a frame (5) so that its height above the ground is greater than the diameter of the wheels. The shaft may be made of a square or circular cross-section tube which may have a 100 to 120 degree bend in the vertical plane.
