Wet cleaning of objects using a mixture of water and an organic solvent which is miscible with water within a defined range of concentrations and temperature and shows a miscibility gap outside this range

Objects are cleaned by intensive contact with a cleaning fluid consisting of water and an organic solvent which exhibits a miscibility gap with water under the conditions of use but which is miscible with water at a different temperature. A process for cleaning objects by intensive contact with a cleaning liquid consisting of water and an organic solvent which has good solvency properties for the dirt to be removed, wherein the cleaning liquid mixture forms a solution within a defined range of concentrations and temperatures and outside these ranges presents a miscibility gap. For the wet cleaning, the cleaning fluid is in the state of the miscibility gap and contains the solvent at a concentration which at the temperature prevailing during the cleaning operation is greater than the concentration at which the miscibility gap begins when the solvent is added to water.
