The feed has two dipole halves (1,2) acting as half wave elements set at a distance above a reflector surface (4) and fixed at the end of connecting strips (5,6). The strips pass through a hole (7) in the reflector. Located beneath the reflector is a strip conductor (8) and in parallel with this are U formed conductors (9,10) of a quarter wavelength that are engaged by the connecting strips. The impedance of the conductors is high compared to the connecting strip and the ends are flanged (14,15) for fixing to the reflector. The reflector is in parallel with a conducting surface.
