A non-magnetic steel with a high Mn content for a superconducting material contains (by wt.) 0.10% or less of C, 0.5% or less of Si, 10-30% of Mn, 2 -15% of Ni, 5-25% of Cr, 2% or less of Mo, 0.001-0.01% of B, 0.1-0.3% of N, and the remainder being Fe and inevitable impurities.
