Optimization of interception of moving targets by a missile, uses external tracking of the missile which is sent target information and returns data to targeting system, while using GPS location to improve accuracy

The interception of a target is controlled by an interception system (20) and is optimized over one or more of the operating stages of: tracking of the missile (10); sending of interception information to the missile; and return of information by the missile to the interception system. The interception is further improved by a sub-system (20p) using GPS location operating in relative mode.
