Electroplating a nickel-iron-phosphorus alloy comprises dipping a parent metal into an electroplating solution containing nickel sulfamate, iron sulfamate, phosphorous acid; and plating the parent metal under conditions of an electric current density of 1-100 A/dm squared, temperature of 25-60 degreesC and pH of at most 5.
